"Pretty much," Kat says with a nod and a lopsided grin. "Enjoying the weather. Which probably sounds dumb, but I'm useless when it's a million degrees out, and once it gets cold, I'll be grouchy and miserable, so." Fall has always been her favorite time of year anyway, but now it's a nice happy medium, too. She'll enjoy it while it lasts, even if, at least in this part of town, it doesn't come with a whole lot to look at.

Eliot's plans seem far more interesting, though, and she arches a brow, intrigued. "A little friendly harassment sounds fun," she adds. "Want some company?"
